INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE

Name-
Vikash Kumar
Stream- Marketing Officer
Place- BOI, Staff Training Centre, Noida-62
Date- 10/03/2017
Time- 8:30 AM
Panel- 4

The document verification process was very smooth and I was placed on 4th slot for interview so my turn came quickly.

Like PO, the panel comprised four male members and one beautiful lady.

Me– Knocked the doors and took their permission to make entry in the boxing ring then wished a very cozy good morning to all starting from lady to gents.

Chairman– Please have a sit Vikash
Me– Thanks a lot sir

Chairman– Mr Vikash, you are from Bihar so tell us why Bihar is famous,
Me– (This is something I was expecting), Sir, I want to take you in the flash back of India’s giant Independence struggle. One of the cornerstone events which shook the British empire was Satyagrah Andolan which was kick started by Mr Mahatma Gandhi in 1917 in the West Champaran district of Bihar which happens to be my Birth place.Apart from that Bihar has given the birth of India’s first President Dr Rajendra Prasad. Bihar is known to be the land of Budha. Bihar has also produced many film stars Like Shatrudhan Sinha, Prakash Jha, Manoj Bajpayee and also a renound poet named Gopal Singh Nepali, Bihar is known for its Agricultural efficiency in producing a wide range of crops and Bihar is a multi-Linguistic state where people from all caste and creed live with harmony.

Chairman– That’s brilliant but you forgot to mention one thing
Me– remained silent for a while then Chairman with a typical smile said that Vikash Kumar also lives in Bihar
smiled and thanked him. In fact, everybody started laughing

M2– What is your qualification and are you doing these days?
Me– said about my qualification in details and also said that Last year I came for MO interview as well but missed out by a miniscule margin of 0,7 in the final merit list. In addition to that, I said that this year I have qualified in PO, Clerk and now sitting in front of you for this Interview.

M2– That’s great

M3– You have done English journalism from a reputed Institute so I think that field can be better for you.
Me– Took a pause for a while then said, Sir, I draw similarity between Journalism and Marketing. Both of these streams make you extrovert and teach you to go out and meet people of various sorts to understand what they want from you, Media used to be a social service during the era of Mr Gandhi when he launched Tabloids called Young Indians or Harijans but now it has been commercialized so having both the degrees and skill set, I bring multifarious capabilities for the organisation and it gives me edge over other participating candidates for this job,

M1– Nodded his head and said yes, that’s right.

M4– Vikash, tell us the name of three cities where you can perform well.
Me– Sir, I know Hindi, English and Bhojpuri equally well, I have been living outside my home town for the last fifteen years so location is not a barrier for me, you can put me in any corner of this country, I will work with the same efficiency and productivity,

Chairman– Vikash, suppose we are investors and want to set up factory in Bihar so you have to sell Bihar to us.
Me-I started in detail and some what deviated from the topic so they interrupted me twice. I told most of the things apart from cheap Manpower (It didn’t strike me at that time)

Chairman– You told so many things but missed one thing, Bihar has cheap labor force to offer then I nodded and said yes, It’s a labor surplus state. They nodded their head and said All the best,

It was like a formal chit-chat session where there were no questions from banking. This disappointed me because I had covered almost everything from banking parlance, Unlike PO’s panel, they were very friendly and cheerful in their approach.

All the best for your Result !!!!!!!!!!
