On October 3, 2018, the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi approved the following MOUs with the foreign countries.

On October 3, 2018, the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi approved the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India and Russia on bilateral cooperation in the Road Transport and Road Industry.

  • It will be signed during the upcoming visit of Russian President to India.
  • This will help in cooperation in road transportation and road industry and Intelligent Transport System (ITS).

Russia:
♦ Capital: Moscow.
♦ Currency: Russian Ruble.
♦ President: Vladmir Putin.
♦ India and Russia Military exercise name: INDRA.

Cabinet approves MoU between India and Russiaon cooperation in the field of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises
On October 3, 2018, the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi approved a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between:

  • National Small Industries Corporation Ltd. (NSIC)– a Public Sector Undertaking of the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) of India and
  • JSC-Russian Small & Medium Business Corporation(RSMB Corporation), Russia.

i. This will promote cooperation between the Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) of the two countries.
ii .It also involves cooperation in the field of capacity building, rapid incubation for entrepreneurship development, exposure to each other’s market.

♦ Minister of state (I/C): Shri Giriraj Singh.
♦  Secretary: Dr. Arun Kumar Panda.

Cabinet approves Second Protocol amending the Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (CECA) between India and Singapore
On October 3, 2018, the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi approved to the Second Protocol amending the Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (CECA) between India and Singapore.
i. The CECA was signed on 24th August 2018.
ii. It will enhance bilateral trade and will deepen the Economic Cooperation between India and Singapore.
