The ‘Swasthya Sathi’ scheme has already covered 45 lakh families amounting to 2.5 crore people of West Bengal. She said that, now contributing to NHPS would be a wastage of West Bengal’s resources and West Bengal opts out of NHPS. West Bengal has become the first state in India to opt out of NHPS.
