The garment industry in India currently follows tweaked versions of US or the UK size charts of ‘small, medium, large, extra large’. Following these charts has been identified as main reason for high return and rejection rate of 20% to 40% in Indian garments industry. This rate has been increasing with the growth of e-commerce, and poor garment fit is the main reason given for return of garments purchased online. With ‘India Size Chart’ in place, all brands selling in India, including foreign brands, will have to carry the India size label on all garments

Medium enterprise has been defined as an entity where the investment in equipment is more than Rs. 2 crore but does not exceed Rs.5 crore. As per the current norms, loans to Micro/ Small enterprises up to Rs. 5 crore and loans to Medium Enterprises up to Rs. 10 crore were classified as priority sector lending (PSL). However, with the removal of this cap, all loans to MSMEs involved in providing/rendering services will be classified as priority sector lending.

APA provisions were introduced in the Income-tax Act, 1961 in 2012. Objective of APA scheme is to provide certainty to taxpayers in the domain of transfer pricing by specifying the methods of pricing and thereby reducing litigation.
