1. Galore – बहुतायत

Meaning – in abundance.

Synonyms – aplenty, in abundance, in profusion, in great quantity, in large numbers, by the dozen; to spare; everywhere.

Usage – there were prizes galore for everything.

2. Cozen – फुसलाना

Meaning – trick or deceive.

Usage – do not think to cozen your contemporaries.

3. Rampage – हिसात्मक आचरण

Meaning – (especially of a large group of people) move through a place in a violent and uncontrollable manner.

Synonyms – rush wildly/madly, riot, run riot, go on the rampage, run amok, go berserk, storm, charge.

Usage – several thousand demonstrators rampaged through the city.

4. Subservient – अधीन

Meaning – prepared to obey others unquestioningly.

Synonyms – submissive, deferential, acquiescent, compliant, accommodating, obedient, dutiful, duteous, biddable, yielding, meek, docile, ductile, pliant, passive, unassertive, spiritless, subdued, humble, timid, mild, lamblike; servile, slavish, grovelling, truckling, self-effacing, self-abasing, downtrodden.

Usage – women were expected to be decorative and subservient.

5. Enervate – कमज़ोर

Meaning – make (someone) feel drained of energy or vitality.

Synonyms – exhaust, tire, fatigue, weary, wear out, devitalize, drain, sap, weaken, make weak, make feeble, enfeeble, debilitate, incapacitate, indispose, prostrate, immobilize, lay low, put out of action; informalknock out, do in, take it out of one, shatter, poop, frazzle.

Usage – the scorching sun enervated her.

6. Hassle – परेशानी

Meaning – irritating inconvenience.

Synonyms – inconvenience, bother, nuisance, problem, struggle, difficulty, annoyance, irritation, thorn in one’s flesh/side, bane of one’s life; trials and tribulations, fuss, trouble; informalaggravation, aggro, stress, headache, pain, pain in the neck/backside.

Usage – the hassle of child care.

7. Tyranny – उत्पीड़न

Meaning – cruel and oppressive government or rule.

Synonyms – despotism, absolutism, absolute power, autocracy, dictatorship, undemocratic rule, reign of terror, totalitarianism, Fascism; oppression, suppression, repression, subjugation, enslavement; authoritarianism, high-handedness, imperiousness, bullying, harshness, strictness, severity, cruelty, brutality, ruthlessness, injustice.

Usage – refugees fleeing tyranny and oppression.

8. Solace – सांत्वना

Meaning – comfort or consolation in a time of great distress or sadness.

Synonyms – comfort, consolation, cheer, support, relief.

Usage – “she sought solace in her religion.

9. Assail – आक्रमण करना

Meaning – make a concerted or violent attack on.

Synonyms – attack, assault, make an assault on, launch an attack on, pounce on, set upon, set about, launch oneself at, weigh into, fly at, let fly at, turn on, round on, lash out at, hit out at, beset.

Usage – “the Scots army assailed Edward’s army from the rear.

10. Snub – लटकाया

Meaning – rebuff, ignore, or spurn disdainfully.

Synonyms – insult, slight, affront, humiliate, treat disrespectfully; rebuff, spurn, repulse, cold-shoulder, brush off, disdain, scorn, give someone a slap in the face, give someone the cold shoulder, turn one’s back on, keep someone at arm’s length; cut (dead), ignore

Usage – they were accused of snubbing their hosts by missing two official functions.
