quant-day-9

  1. If Rehman wants to travel as economical as possible with his luggage then he has to travel from Delhi to Hyderabad through which Airlines?
    A. Indigo
    B. Air India
    C. Spicejet
    D. Air Asia
    E. Vistara
    A. Indigo
    Solution:
    Indigo :
    73-15 = 58 kgs
    Luggage cost = 50* 11 + 8*12 = 646
    Total fare = 2420+646 = 3066
    Air India:
    73-12 = 61
    Luggage cost = 50* 13 + 11*14 = 804
    Total fare = 2460+804 = 3264
    Spicejet:
    73-13 = 60
    Luggage cost = 50* 14 + 10*16 = 2380
    Total fare = 2380+860= 3240
    Air Asia:
    73-16 = 57
    Luggage cost = 50* 12 + 7*13= 691
    Total fare = 2630+691 = 3321
    Vistara:
    73-14 = 59
    Luggage cost = 50* 15 + 9*17 = 903
    Total fare = 2350+903 = 3253

  2. If Ravi, Raju and Ramu travelled in Air India, Spice Jet and Air Asia respectively with their luggage then their average flight ticket cost would be how much more than travel cost of Rakesh if he travels in Indigo with luggage?
    A. Rs. 283
    B. Rs. 287
    C. Rs. 273
    D. Rs. 294
    E. None
    C. Rs. 273
    Solution:
    Ravi luggage : 78 kgs
    Air India: 78-12 = 66
    Luggage cost: 50*13 +16*14 = 874
    Total cost: 2460+874 = 3334
    Raju Luggage: 77 kgs
    Spice Jet: 77-13 = 64
    Luggage cost : 50*14 + 14*16 = 924
    Total Cost: 2380+ 924 = 3304
    Ramu Luggage : 83 kgs
    Air Asia : 83-16 = 67
    Luggage cost: 50*12 + 17*13 = 821
    Total cost : 2630+821 = 3451
    Average cost = (3334+3304+3451)/3 = 3363
    Rakesh : 75 kgs
    Indigo : 75-15
    Luggage cost: 50*11 + 10 *12 = 670
    Total Cost: 2420+ 670 = 3090
    Difference = 3363-3090 = 273

  3. If Ravi, Raju, Rakesh, Ramu and Rehman travel with luggage in Indigo, Air India, Spice Jet, Air Asia and Vistara respectively then approximate average of ticket cost would be?
    A. 3185
    B. 3285
    C. 3385
    D. 3485
    E. None
    B. 3285
    Solution:
    Ravi luggage : 78 kgs
    Indigo: 78-15 = 63
    50*11+13*12 = 706
    Total cost : 706+2420 = 3126
    Similarly
    Raju:3320
    Rakesh: 3272
    Ramu:3451
    Rehman: 3253
    (3126+3320+3272+3451+3253)/5 = 3284.4 = 3285

  4. If Raju travels in Vistara and Rehman in Air India with their luggage then difference of cost of ticket of Raju and Rehman is?
    A. Rs. 53
    B. Rs 54
    C. Rs 55
    D. Rs 57
    E. None
    D. Rs 57
    Solution:
    Raju- Vistara:
    77-14 = 63
    Luggage Cost: 50*15+13*17 = 971
    971+2350 = 3321
    Rehman-Air India:
    73-12 = 61
    Luggage cost = 50* 13 + 11*14 = 804
    Total fare = 2460+804 = 3264
    Difference = 3321-3264 = 57

  5. If the ticket price of all airways increased by 10 % then what difference it would bring on sum of all tickets price from previous sum of flight tickets?
    A. 1114
    B. 1564
    C. 1894
    D. 1224
    E. None
    D. 1224
    Solution:
    242+246+238+263+235 = 1224
